Marc L. Rovner — Chief Executive Officer

Marc has over 30 years of experience in meeting the needs of consumers in animal health, digestive aids, oral care, allergy, cosmetics and soaps and detergents. Prior to joining Matrixx in March of 2018, Marc was with Boehringer-Ingelheim where he was the U.S. head of Pet Healthcare for BI Animal Health and the VP and General Manager for BI’s US Consumer Healthcare business.

Prior to joining BI, Marc’s other professional experience includes assignments with Pfizer Consumer Healthcare, SmartAnalyst Consulting, Renaissance Cosmetics, Reckitt Benckiser and Unilever.

Marc earned a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and an MA from the University of Chicago and continues his education by maintaining an intimidating reading list, trying to outsmart trout and prowling retail stores for great ideas.


Sam Kamdar — Chief Financial Officer & Chief Operating Officer

Sam Kamdar joined Matrixx Initiatives in June 2011 as the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. His industry background spans consumer products, healthcare, food, and building materials with employers including complex, global manufacturers American Standard, Schering-Plough HealthCare Products, Ocean Spray Cranberries, and Nestlé Foods. Sam was Chief Operating Officer at American Standard. Previously, Sam was Vice President & General Manager of the Chinaware Division, the company's largest division. Before joining American Standard, Sam was the Senior Sales & Marketing Finance Manager at Schering-Plough HealthCare Products. Sam began his career as a CPA in public accounting. Sam holds a BS from Rutgers in Finance, an MBA in Marketing and Finance from Boston College, CPA certification, and is a Six Sigma Black Belt.


Tim Clarot — Senior Vice President Research & Development & Product Quality

Tim joined Matrixx in 2000, overseeing Research and Development, Quality Assurance, Consumer Affairs and Regulatory. Tim provided the technology framework which enabled the expansion of the Zicam brand into innovative oral delivery platforms for its Cold Remedy products, allopathic symptom relief products and Matrixx’s patented intranasal swab delivery format.

Tim has over 34 years experience in consumer products R&D and operations. He has been granted numerous patents and has over 30 patents pending. Tim has served as chairman of company-sponsored scientific and dental advisory boards and has managed the conduct of over 25 OTC clinical trials.

Prior to Matrixx, Tim held various senior technical and operational positions with Reckitt & Colman (Reckitt Benckiser). He graduated from California State University Fresno with a degree in chemistry.


Phil Bramel — Senior Vice President of Sales

Phil has been in the CPG marketplace for 30 years with leading organizations to include: Warner-Lambert, Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, and Boehringer-Ingelheim. Over the course of his career, Phil has built a broad and diverse background including roles in Sales, Trade Marketing, Analytics and Insights, Key Customer Development, and Sales Force Development and Automation.

Most recently Phil served as Head of US Sales for Boehringer-Ingelheim Animal Health, Pet Care and was challenged with the turnaround of a $150M US business significantly underdeveloped across traditional outlets. Based on the establishment of key retail partnerships and the implementation of insights-based strategy, the business is now showing its first growth in 9 years and expects to exceed plan by $25M for 2018.

Phil has managed diverse OTC categories to include: Warner-Lambert’s Oral Care franchise, Pfizer’s GI and Personal Care portfolio, and J&J’s Upper Respiratory portfolio. Also, during his time at Boehringer-Ingelheim, Phil built an Alternate Class of Trade (ACOT) infrastructure and strategy to tap into business opportunities that exist beyond traditional FDM and convenience.

Phil earned his BS in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida where he attended on a Football Scholarship.

Phil is married to his wife of 30 years. They have four sons ages 27, 23, 17, and 15. They reside in Northwest Arkansas where they are deeply involved in the community with a focus on developing leadership skills among youth and students.


Gulam Khan — Vice President of Marketing

Gulam Khan brings to the team more than 17 years of experience in consumer product marketing and sales. He has a passion for building collaborative high performing teams. Most recently Khan led the Philips Norelco Shaving Franchise, the world's #1 electric male grooming brand for Philips Personally Health, NA., fighting for market share against P&G, Unilever, and Harry's.

In his marketing role at Boehringer Ingelheim Consumer Health, Khan led the Dulcolax franchise, a declining brand in a highly competitive category. Under his leadership, the team dramatically turned the business around delivering record sales and market share gains. Prior to his marketing roles, Khan led long term marketing strategies for BI in Business Development and Strategic Innovation.

Khan started his career in Field Sales with direct national customer responsibility exceeding sales quotas with Salton and Coty Beauty. He moved into various headquarter roles including Category Management, Sales Strategy, and Trade Marketing. Khan earned his B.S. in Computer Science from Rutgers University. Outside of his professional life, Khan enjoys time with his wife and 2 girls in activities ranging from music to martial arts.


Craig Stoll — Vice President of Customer Strategy and Insights

Craig has over 30 years of sales experience at leading companies such as Proctor & Gamble, Schering-Plough, Merck, and Bayer. Craig most recently was an independent Sales & Strategy consultant leading projects focused on go to market strategies, trade practices and policies, trade spending structures, and customer segmentation. Previously, he led Customer Strategy and Insights at Fleet Laboratories.

Craig and his wife of 30 years are blessed with 4 children, a wonderful daughter-in-law and a granddaughter entering the toddler phase. Born and raised in Central Ohio, he is a graduate of Bowling Green State University. His favorite sports include Auto Racing (anything with a motor), Football, and Fantasy Football.
